PDF pattern solutions: trace, cut, reuse

There are several ways to using PDF patterns and I thought I would show you some easy PDF pattern solutions so that it is a good experience for everyone.

If I haven't said this before it's time I did. I LOVE using PDF sewing patterns! I am not a very patient person when it comes to sewing and getting started on a project. When I want to sew, I want to sew now!

And that's why I like the PDF sewing patterns so well! Just buy the pattern, print it off, and get sewing! Yay!

Printing PDF patterns for some is quite a process and not a very pleasant one! Once the pattern is printed it's like, I hope I never have to print that thing again!

Or it could be you want to make some adjustments to the pattern but you don't want to draw on the printed one.

You don't have to! Below are a few solutions to never having to print your pattern more than once!

PDF Pattern solution 1

Buy a pack of tissue paper, trace off the size you want, cut out the tissue paper pattern and sew away! Roll up the printed pattern put a rubber band around it and store.

Pattern solution 2

Buy a roll of paper on Amazon or Michaels like I did.

This is easel paper. I checked to see if I could see a pattern underneath so tracing would be easy and yes, I could. This paper is a lot sturdier than tissue paper so I would sure recommend something like this!

I also bought this white gift wrap at Michaels. It's wider than the easel paper but about the same sturdiness. So again, a good paper to use. And if I remembered how much these cost I would sure tell you, but I totally forget! 🙈 The price can't have been too bad otherwise I would have just bought one roll!

Pattern solution 3

Trace pattern onto sew-in interfacing. This is really nice to use and probably my favorite pattern material! Unfortunately, it isn't as readily available where I live plus it's a lot more expensive than paper! This stuff is sturdy but flexible and makes cutting out really easy!

One thing to remember about tracing off your pattern is that this is for personal use only! As nice as it would be to trace off a pattern for your friend or sister, they need to purchase their own digital copy and trace it for themselves.

And there you have 3 easy PDF pattern solutions!
